Get started with ACH payments
If you currently don't have an eCommerce merchant ID (MID), and you want to start collecting ACH payments via your Sertifi portal, work with your Customer Success Manager to determine which payment gateway is the best fit for you and your company. Once you make your decision on the payment gateway you want, use the following workflow to begin the payment setup process for ACH:
- Contact your Finance group, and then request that they contact your merchant services provider, also known as your payment processor, for a new eCommerce MID.
- It can take up to two weeks to obtain the eCommerce MID information from your merchant services provider, so it's critical that you complete this step early on in the gateway connection process. Any delays in obtaining your new eCommerce MID delays the release of payments within the Sertifi system.
- Provide your eCommerce MID to your Customer Success Manager. Your Customer Success Manager begins the setup process to connect your Sertifi portal to your payment gateway. This process takes, on average, about two weeks.
- Begin training with Sertifi on how to use your payment gateway. Your Customer Success Manager can conduct a one-hour training session for you and your accounting users to review the workflow, document creation, and settings involved with payment gateways. After this training, another one-hour training session is held for document and payment training.
- Sertifi can hold separate trainings for your Super Admins and Finance groups. Additionally, all trainings can be recorded for on-demand viewing by your team.
